producer and dj, richy pitch moved from uk to ghana, west africa and took on the challenge to record an lp which drew on his many musical experiences during his stay. his goal was to record with local stars and talent and fuse the classic sound of ghanaian music with his own production skills that he had already developed in london. two years later and back to london, richy knocked on bbe records door to deliver ye fre mi richy pitch. it has been a long time without one of the really style-defining artists when it comes to electronic music, but waiting has an end! we are proud to present new music from no one less than mr. justin berkovi from the uk. his new release on incase recordings is a perfectly timed fresh breeze of melodic techno, full of atmospheres and sounddesign in a way only justin is able to do. be prepared to hear this record on many festivals and open air events and make yourself ready for more to come from mr. berkovi, this is just the start!

in the world of factory presets, default settings and copy-paste ethics, there are few artists that actually care to make a difference. and -who told you that?-, 29th release on warsaw recognition label, is certainly a voice to be heard. the title track is another subtle narrative from label boss jacek sienkiewicz. eerie chord and a solid, damp beat from the start are underpinned by sherds of dialogue - snippets of words and laughter keep coming back in the mix, providing some sort of uneasy commentary towards todays minimal house formula. but at some point the voices disappear - and then the tracks gently goes somewhere outside the boundaries of todays club music, somewhere otherworldly. this shift, albeit amazingly subtle, is a leap towards music free of any defined context, far beyond dancefloor and definitely original. if this sneak peak into the possible futures of manmachine induced visions is too much to handle, there is still the b-side of this release. two tracks here - both clocking around mere 5 minutes - are prime exercises in compact, clever, tight and efficient club tools. uplifting -cobalt drive- is bound to to be quoted and reworked into many forms of a late-night burner. patefon, on the other hand, is a peak-time stormer with its stuttering chords and moody samples, supposedly picked from some vintage shellac discs

the phrase >tropical< is currently getting used to describe a lot of different music, some good, some bad, some ugly. to save on confusion senseless went out and travelled the world to find some music from the actual tropics, venezuela to be precise. somewhere buried deep in the mysterious rainforest, or possibly just in a studio in caracas, they found pocz and pacheko. it?s so near the equator maybe we can ditch the ?tropical bass? tag and go for something new, >equatorial bass< perhaps? maybe not. pacheko, francisco mejia, will be familiar to some for his solo releases on lo dubs, murder channel, seclusiasis and for his work with legendary venezualan expat cardopusher. his partner in bass pocz (carlos majoral) is a classically trained musician and production engineer. along with a select few others they run abstractor, a collective of producers, artists and designers, who promote parties, run a blog and do a fine job of representing bass music in venezuela pretty much solo. the collective includes graphic artist design or die who is responsible for the incredible artwork and pretty special video for >zarbak<.

much awaited return to lost trax! scsi-av has been a well respected electro and techno label since it was born in september 2008. almost 12 years later and after a short break scsi is back with a classy detroit techno record which has been sat in the vaults for quite some time waiting patiently to be released. as the second part of the lost trax series. expect deep bass, booming 808 kicks and carl craig-esque sounding strings. the production on both sides of this record is amazing showing the digital generation that analogue kit still sounds supreme. the lost trax series is a project for producers who have inspired the label to record something special and release anonymously as we dont believe its necessary to sell music on the strength of a specific artists reputation.
